Pray on Friday Afternoon

Pray on Friday Afternoon

Everyday, I pray,
I never knew the angel will come to me in an such unexpectedly way
Demure, bright but with a tinge of sadness in display
I wonder what brought her here and what good inside her has been taken away
Her heart was in parade but her sky was gray
I wish her sweetness would never fade away, at least I pray

On the first day, the very day
Her smile caught my attention, I swear
At the beginning, she has been always kept away
Without a debate,I decided to get close to her even with a warning of foul play
I know winning her heart is worth a fray
I drink coffee, fragrance seeping my airway
I ponder how I can make her happy at any rate
Because of her, my heart will never be sedate

On one day,Lingering in her doorway,
Asking if she wants to have a dinner or a glass of wine, anyway
I can't score her with any grade: it is just an impossible way
Who is the girl in this play?
She is my love, XXX
Today, she has flown away
Her sky is never gray
If the story was replayed
I would stay with her for one more day
I swear
